Your hotel, for your budget

For InnoTrans 2026, we recommend the Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz: central, professional, and ideal if you value short distances in the city and easy access to the exhibition grounds. Start your trade fair day with breakfast and be back in the middle of Berlin life just as quickly in the evening.

And if your plans change: we not only support you with this booking, but can also put together alternatives that fit your budget, location needs, and team size. Whether you need a few rooms or large allotments for teams attending trade fairs, we organize hotels, services, and one clear point of contact so you can book quickly and without back-and-forth.

Planning your stay in Berlin for the trade fair and looking for a few insider tips? If you want to experience Berlin with short walking distances, the TV Tower and the World Time Clock at Alexanderplatz are must-sees. For culture and architecture, a trip to Museum Island is well worth it, and for an evening walk you can explore the Spree river area around Hackescher Markt.

If you want to take a breather before or after the fair: a walk through Tiergarten or a view over the city from one of the viewpoints in Mitte can clear your head before heading back to the exhibition halls the next day.

After a long trade fair day, most people look forward to the relaxed part, and that often includes going out for dinner. Around Alexanderplatz and in Berlin-Mitte you will find everything you need after an intense day, from a quick meal to a business dinner, also suitable for a short evening meeting.

Right in the hotel, Spagos Restaurant, Bar & Lounge is a good choice for a relaxed end to the day. If you want something special, Sphere in the Berlin TV Tower is a strong option. Within walking distance you will also find places such as BEAST Berlin (steak) or Biermeisterei Lemke at Hackescher Markt for hearty food and Berlin craft beer.

Can’t decide? Our experts are happy to help you choose the right places, including recommendations for events around your trade fair schedule or a suitable networking event.

InnoTrans takes place at the Berlin exhibition grounds (Berlin ExpoCenter City). As a leading trade fair for transport technology, the event uses the exhibition halls as well as the outdoor and track area, which is used for rail vehicles and presentations under real conditions.
InnoTrans is one of the most important international trade fairs for transport technology and takes place in Berlin every two years. The fair is divided into several topic areas and is complemented by an extensive conference and supporting program.

Especially with strong international demand, hotel availability in Berlin is usually limited very quickly during this week. That’s why it is worth booking early and securing room allotments, especially if you want to compare several hotels or plan for multiple trade fairs throughout the year.

The InnoTrans in Berlin can be reached via many different connections. We have summarized the options for you.

Arrival by plane:

The closest airport is Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). From there, you can get to the exhibition grounds by shuttle, public transport, or taxi.

By shuttle bus:

For trade visitors, InnoTrans offers, among other services, a free bus shuttle from Berlin Airport. (Please check the InnoTrans information for up-to-date details and times.)

By public transport:

The “Flughafen BER” train station is located directly under Terminal 1 (level U2). From there, the Airport Express (FEX) and regional trains, among others, run towards the city.
Depending on the entrance, Messe Berlin is easily accessible via S Messe Süd, S Westkreuz, S Messe Nord, and U Theodor-Heuss-Platz.
A practical direct route is, for example, the S-Bahn connection (including S9) from BER to S Messe Süd (around one hour travel time, depending on the connection and time of day).

By taxi to the trade fair:

The distance from BER to Messe Berlin is around 30 km. Depending on traffic, the ride takes about 30 minutes or longer. As a rough guide, prices of around EUR 65–80 are often mentioned.

Important note: Fixed fares do not apply for trips from BER because the airport is located in the state of Brandenburg. The price depends on the official tariff/traffic situation or on the agreement shown in the app.

Arriving by train:

From Berlin Central Station (Berlin Hauptbahnhof), you can reach the exhibition grounds quickly by S-Bahn. The S Messe Süd station (for many entrances) is served regularly; a typical travel time is around 15 minutes.
Alternatively, depending on the entrance, S Westkreuz / S Messe Nord or U Theodor-Heuss-Platz may be more convenient.

By taxi from Berlin Central Station:

Depending on traffic, the ride takes only a few minutes; as a rough guide, prices of around EUR 18–22 are often mentioned.

Arriving by car:

Depending on the event, different parking areas are available at Messe Berlin, including P1, P2, P4, P5, P6, P9, P10, P14, P17, P18 (capacity varies by car park).

Note for electric vehicles: Charging options are available on site (details/locations depend on the car park).

Important note about tickets/public transport:
According to the InnoTrans notice, your exhibition ticket allows free use of public transport in Berlin (fare zone ABC) during the ticket’s validity period. Please also note: an online ticket is only valid together with a valid ID card or passport.

InnoTrans 2026 – The leading international trade fair for transport technology

InnoTrans brings the mobility industry together in Berlin and presents innovations in rail vehicles, infrastructure, public transport, interiors, and tunnel construction. A special highlight is the outdoor and track area, where vehicles and systems are showcased in an impressive way. In addition, the supporting program with talks, meetings, and networking opportunities offers more chances for exchange and new partnerships, including side events.

InnoTrans 2026 – Investing in the Future!

The next InnoTrans will take place in Berlin from 22 to 25 September 2026. As a leading international trade fair, it brings together exhibitors, industry decision-makers, experts, and start-ups to present innovations and trends in mobility and transport technology and to exchange ideas.

The main focus is on digitalization and sustainable mobility. This includes, among other things, alternative propulsion systems (such as battery and hydrogen), energy-efficient vehicles and systems, smart infrastructure, and digital solutions for operations, maintenance, and capacity, for example through connected data, automation, and modern control and signaling systems. These topics are complemented by areas such as interior & design, accessibility, public transport, and tunnel and infrastructure projects. A special highlight remains the outdoor and track area, where vehicles and technology can often be experienced under realistic conditions.

Just as the industry has responded to major challenges in recent years, the goal for 2026 is also to show practical solutions for the demands of modern mobility: more capacity, higher efficiency, lower emissions, and reliable systems for everyday passenger and freight transport.
